Anastasia Sargent is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works on unceded Wampanoag territory in Aquinnah, MA. She received her BFA from Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, CA) in 2018 where she graduated as class valedictorian.

Informed by personal, mythological, and historical narratives, my interdisciplinary practice addresses themes of climate change, reproductive labor, gender politics, psychology, and class. Iā€™m interested in the aesthetics and patriarchy of the occult. Drawing from a wide array of references, including ethnobotany, freemasonry, midwifery, and heraldry, I aim to interrogate social hierarchies of knowledge and power. My work searches the subjectivity of belief to explore marginalized and gendered practices.
